We are a church made up of real people who are rooted in both the historic Christian faith and the communities in which we live. Our aim is to provide a church experience that is restful and accessible for our neighbors.
We are a church plant of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) commited to Biblical, confessional, Reformed truth; to rich Christian community; and to historic corporate worship.

Meet our team
Jeremy King
Pastor
Jeremy lives in Mayfield Heights with his wife Sarah and three children, Theodore, Julia, and Eleanor. A graduate of Ohio University with BA in World Religions, Jeremy attended Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis where he earned his Master of Divinity. Jeremy hails from the Buckeye State and grew up in the suburbs of Columbus. On his days off you’ll often find Jeremy hiking at North Chagrin Reservation with his family, or enjoying a pint while reading at one of Mayfield’s many pubs.
Rob Thorndike
Worship Ministry Team Leader
Rob lives in Lyndhurst with his wife, Julia and two children. Rob coodinates the worship team and plans music for Sunday services and special events. He is a professional musician and elementary school music teacher. Rob has a degree in guitar performance and music education from Youngstown State University. Rob and Julia have called Story Church home since 2021.
Kendall Richards
Church Life Coordinator
Kendall lives in University Heights with her husband Peter and dog, Lucy. She orchestrates womens ministry, as well as events, and communication for Story Church. Kendall is pursuing her Masters in Theological Studies at Reformed Theological Seminary. She and Peter have been members of Story Church since 2021.
Julie Harrold
Story Kids Team Leader
Julie lives in Highland Heights with her husband Ian and two children. She coordinates the nursery and children’s church teams, and provides vision and direction for the Story Kids ministry. Julie has a degree in Elementary Education from Grove City College and a Masters in Reading from Wilkes University. She and Ian have been members of Story Church since 2021.
